The Isle of Sheppey Light Railway

A recent project that I did for an event on the Isle of Sheppey called Promenade, which is a weekend of talks (Michael Palin being one of the speakers), performances and other events about the islands heritage, architecture and art. I decided to look into the railway that used to run on the island making a map of its route and making tickets and postcards of where the stations used to be, that people can take away with them. The work's being shown along side another artist's work, in a blue container called 'Room' which is part of the Kent Cultural Baton and is on the beach in Sheerness. Here is the completed map and a couple of the postcards...

  1. Hello Amy

We are looking to create some history boards at Queenborough station to celebrate Col. Stephens and the Sheppey Light Railway and would like your consent to use your map as part of the display.
